Adam & Eve!

Adam

Today something light hearted and I am grateful to Fr. Tomlinson Sr who sent me this joke by email. Please enjoy it in the spirit it is intended!

After God created Adam, and Adam had been in the Garden for a really long time, he started to get lonely. So, Adam went to God and said, “This Garden is amazing, but I’m starting to get lonely; is there anyone that you can send to keep me company?”

God answered, “I have the perfect person. She will help you with almost everything. She’ll clean, cook, wash your clothes, be your friend, and even rub your feet after a long day. She really is perfect in every way!” Adam said, “That sounds great! How soon can you send her?”

God replied again, “I can send her right away, but there is one thing … it’s going to cost you an arm and a leg to get her.” Adam thought for a moment, and then said, “What can I get for a rib?”

Life in the Vicarage is shaping up nicely. Benedict is almost ready to do something other than feed and sleep and Jemima is getting used to being a ‘big sister’, a role she has taken to with aplomb. I really am very proud of the love and tenderness she has shown to baby Benedict, what a lovely little girl we have been blessed with. I am certain the novelty will wear off and a little jealousy will come to the fore at some point, but she really is doing as well as can be expected from a three year old prima donna – well done Jemima! Those with good eyesight and a footballing brain will note that Benedict supports the greatest football team on earth. Any wanting to dispute the fact should note that it is the closest professional side to Walsingham….so they are clearly Our Lady’s favourite team as well!

One Response to Adam & Eve!

  1. Fr Frank Nichols says:

On the Ball City! Never mind the danger…..and so on! This retired priest at present in Brisbane Australia admits that the first thing he dose on a Sunday morning here is to check the football results for OLW’s team! I first went to meet OLW in (I think) 1953, and the other team in about 1956! I am hoping we will be back close to OLW and the other team in May next year.
And by the way…..they are doing well! 7- 0 is not bad!

By the way Father: Congratulations..may you have much joy
